The reason to start.

Ghana is a beautiful country—rich in culture, natural resources, and warm, resilient people. But like many places in the world, it faces challenges. Far too many children grow up without access to quality education or safe shelter, limiting their opportunities and futures.

Moved by this reality, founders Nadia Akua Hiles and Igor van der Burgh felt a deep calling to help. After years of reflecting on how they could make a meaningful difference, they launched the Nadig Charity Foundation in 2021. Their goal was simple: to offer real support to those who need it most—starting with children and families in vulnerable communities.

Through this foundation, Nadia and Igor have created a platform for lasting change, fueled by compassion, transparency, and a belief that everyone deserves a chance to thrive.

At the Nadig Charity Foundation, our hearts are firmly rooted in Sekondi-Takoradi, Ghana—a vibrant community full of potential, where support can make a world of difference.

We are committed to providing ongoing, lasting assistance to local organizations that work tirelessly to uplift children and families in need. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we’re able to deliver essential items like food parcels, clothing, and school supplies on a regular basis.
