Nadig Charity Foundation
A 2027 education project to help pupils at basic schools in Sekondi / Takoradi learn, explore, and prepare for a more digital future.
Education is light
Across basic schools in Sekondi / Takoradi, children come to class with energy, curiosity, and the hope that education will help them build a brighter future.
The classrooms are simple, the desks are well used, and the resources are limited. Yet the children are ready to learn. What is missing is not motivation, but access: access to the digital tools that many children elsewhere grow up with as part of everyday school life.
For 2027, Nadig Charity Foundation would like to support basic schools in Sekondi / Takoradi with laptops for educational purposes. With the help of donors, families, schools, and companies, we want to collect good second-hand and refurbished laptops that can be used for lessons, practice, research, typing, and basic computer skills.

Why laptops matter
A laptop is more than a device. In the hands of a teacher and a classroom full of eager pupils, it can become a doorway to reading exercises, educational videos, writing practice, simple research, digital creativity, and the first steps toward computer literacy.
Many children in Ghana do not have regular access to a computer at home. Without that exposure, basic digital skills can arrive too late. A school laptop can help close that gap by giving children the chance to see, touch, and use technology in a safe learning environment.
We believe every child deserves the chance to become familiar with the tools that shape modern education and work. This project is about giving pupils confidence: the confidence to type their first words, search for information, prepare assignments, and imagine opportunities beyond the classroom walls.
What we are looking for
A laptop that may no longer be needed at home or in an office can still be a powerful educational tool for a child. We are looking for devices that are practical, complete, and reliable enough for classroom use.
Devices should start normally, include a working screen and keyboard, and be suitable for basic school activities such as typing, browsing, reading, and educational software.
Please include the matching charger whenever possible. A donated laptop without power can be difficult and expensive to put into service once it arrives in Ghana.
Before donation, laptops should be wiped of personal or company data. If you need guidance, contact us first so we can discuss the safest way to prepare the device.
The learning dream
The first time a child uses a laptop can be unforgettable. A keyboard becomes a place to practice words. A screen becomes a map, a library, a notebook, and a window into the wider world.
Our hope is to help basic schools in Sekondi / Takoradi build small, reliable sets of laptops that teachers can use across classes. Even a modest number of devices can make a difference when they are shared carefully and used with purpose.
Children can work in small groups, take turns, learn from each other, and experience technology as something that belongs in their future too. These moments may look small, but they can plant confidence that lasts far beyond one lesson.

How you can help
There are several ways to support this project. You can donate a working second-hand laptop, help refurbish devices, sponsor replacement parts, or make a financial contribution toward preparing and transporting the laptops.
Companies can help by collecting retired laptops after an office refresh. Families can help by donating a device that is no longer used at home. Technical volunteers can help by checking devices, reinstalling software, and making sure the laptops are ready for safe classroom use.
Every contribution matters. One laptop can serve many children. Several laptops can help a teacher create group lessons. A full set of usable devices can change the rhythm of a classroom and bring digital learning within reach.
